GX-23 Zambot 3 is a heavily articulated plastic/die-cast robot equipped with variant modes, accessories and presumably the usual display base and mounting bracket. Zambot 3 is derived from the Zambot Combination sequence in which Zambird, Zambull and Zambase join together. These individual vehicles were built by the survivors of a race indigenous to the planet called Beal; having relocated to Earth, the survivors, the Jhin Family, hope to defend themselves and the Earth against the shadowy Gaizok. Zambot 3 is armed with a number of weapons such as the Arm Punch, the Zambot Grap, the Buster Missile and the Zambot Missile, all of which are engineered to counter the savage wiles of Gaizokâs Mech Boosts.
